Iranian Audience Inteligence

I'm sure you have realized how annoying and stupid most Iranians are in concerts. They like to cheer seconds before the song ends. I have seen people make their hands ready for clapping whenever they feel the song is ending; And since most of them are not even familiar with the music being performed they cheer as soon as there is a cadence in the song! and if they are lucky, it's the ending, no embarrassment! Another annoying thing is laughing or cheering with any excuse. Watch this song By Mohsen Namjoo, named "Daheye Shast". You may have heard it before but this clip clearly shows how stupid the crowd is. When you see the Audience in the waiting area, they all look like art aficionados and almost all of them are highly educated. But as I always say: Being shallow is a state of the mind and doesn't depend on education or culture.
So, here is the story: This guy, Mohsen, sings a very sad song about how miserable Iranian Children were during the 80's. He makes points about small unachievable desires of a little child like having a 7up; or learning to suffer unfairness in the society, etc. During the song as he usually do, there is a bitter humor too, not to make laugh but to make the lyrics more influential. Like " Vaghti ke reed bar to dokhtare hamsaye, Veghati ke dareed pedarat ra keshvare hamsaye!". See how people laugh and cheer loudly for the first sentence that they miss the next one. Whenever I listen to this song, It makes me almost cry. I don't know how these people laugh at misery. Come on people! It's not Andy's concert for God's sake!

Thank you for this nice comment on Dahe-shast by Namjoo
I have the same opinion on this clip and what I think is the first sentence they find the lyrics funny and the second one they try to eat up their laughing
have you notice that ?
Thanks again, this is very valid in our culture
the other issue was
I was in his concert and as he is very intelligent artist he changes his melody when ever he wants or he feel like.
This is a beauty of being on a live concert, but people around me find it distracting from what they have been heard on previous recorded and they started to booing him because of the minor modification by their favorite artists
at one point I had to ask them nicely that please listen and let us to enjoy his live music

Having low understanding of music is very common among Iranians. Fortunately, most youngsters are open to creativity nowadays.

I was googling for this song and found your comment. I completely agree with you! I couldn't figure out what was sadder, the audience or the song. Idiotic people missed the most heart-rending line because they were laughing at toilet humour. It makes me angry, but at least someone else thought the same thing.
